1. Who we are

DL Business Systems Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We are a business analysis and IT consultancy registered in England and Wales.

2. What data we collect

We only collect personal data that you choose to give us through our contact form or by emailing us directly. This is limited to:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your company name, if you provide it
• The details of your enquiry, including whether you would prefer a call

Our website uses no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking of any kind. We do not build profiles of visitors or collect data in the background.

3. How we use your data, and our lawful basis

We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, discuss your requirements, and where relevant take the steps needed to enter into an engagement. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to a business enquiry you have initiated) and, where an enquiry progresses towards work, the performance of steps prior to entering a contract.

We do not use your data for marketing and we never sell it.

4. Who we share it with

We do not share your data with third parties for their own purposes. We do rely on a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Netlify, which hosts this website and handles contact form submissions
• Zoho, which provides our business email

These providers act only on our instructions. Some may store or process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an equivalent approved mechanism.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for up to 24 months from our last contact where no engagement follows. Where an enquiry leads to a working relationship, we retain the relevant records for as long as needed to deliver the work and to meet our legal and tax obligations, which is normally six years.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to request portability. To exercise any of these, email info@dlbusinesssystems.com and we will respond within one month.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always shows its effective date at the top.
